Bell 206 LONGRANGER
This time tested seven place airframe (6 passengers, 1 pilot) has been refitted with the Allison 250-C20R engine giving it, on average, 14% better performance over the original power-plant.
We have experienced much more efficient operations, particularly in hot and humid conditions, combined with reduced unscheduled maintenance since this airframe/power-plant combination was introduced to Graham Helicopters in 1996.

What got you into Helicopters?
After ticking society's boxes of university, being an engineer and working in the corporate world I left, immigrated to Canada to pursue my love of adventure and the great outdoors. Living in the mountains working on the river as a guide, I wanted a career where I used my brain and went on adventures too. I paid for an intro flight in a Bell 47 and I was hooked.
Best Piloting experience so far?
Theres been quite a few. My favourites have been working in the Arctic herding snow geese and muskox, West Coast Heli Logging and flying solo across Hudson Bay all the way to Labrador.

What got you into Helicopters?
I was in the backcountry one day and I saw a search and rescue hoist mission happen from one of the cormorants. And it hit me that day, if I’m gunna spend a large portion of my life working I want it to be something as cool as that! That started my passion for everything helicopter related. Pursuing the job has so far been the best decision I’ve ever made.
So far my best piloting experience was my first solo job on a turbine machine. One of the more rewarding experiences in my life and it keeps getting better.

Having the opportunity of flying half way across the world down in Australia was an unforgettable experience.

What got you into Helicopters?
I grew up around the aviation industry, I would watch helicopters taking off and landing through the fence at the Sechelt airport. It wasn’t until I was working at an equipment rental yard after collage that I realized that my favourite part of the day was actually operating/driving the equipment that I was working on.
Making the equipment move with the slight touch of the hydraulic controls was so satisfying.
That’s when I decided I wanted to become a pilot and get to use a helicopter as a tool to help complete a job.

What got you into Helicopters?
Had some exposure to a Bell 206 in 1985 and finally after some 35 years of flying fixed wing I had the opportunity of getting our own R44 for conversion to rotory wing.
Best Piloting experience so far?
I’d have to say the experience of flying some 30 different types of aircraft up to the Boeing 727 and getting to do a Trans Atlantic Crossing with a Convair 580
Favourite Helicopter? Bell 206L
